Carleton Archery Club, Inc., is a not-for-profit that was established in 2023 to manage the equipment and operations of the club. CAC, Inc., runs all the club's archery sessions. Board and Officers
The board is currently made up of three elected directors, who are elected for renewable three year terms. Additionally, staff members of the Carleton University Archery Club are entitled to become directors of Carleton Archery Club, Inc., as long as they are a staff member of CUAC. Currently five directors are appointed by virtue of their office in CUAC.
Officers are appointed by the Board for specific leadership roles in the Club. The Chair, General Director and Executive Director must also be Directors, other roles may be held by volunteers who aren't part of the Board.

Range Photography Policy
Posted: 2024-11-08The Board of Directors has adopted a policy to clarify expectations around taking photos and videos on the range during public events and during lessons. The policy allows any photography during public events and allows the club to use images it takes for promotions and social media, it also establishes an opt-in standard for image taking during lessons or other non-public events. The club will also provide images it owns freely to members. Per bylaw 1, the policy takes effect on 22 November 2024.
Membership Policy and Bylaw 1 updates
Posted: 2024-08-31Over the summer, the Board of Directors made updates to Bylaw 1 as well as the Membership Policy. These changes updated membership policies to introduce a fixed annual fee in addition to program fees in order to participate in corporate governance, memberships issued in the summer under the old policy are still valid. Bylaw 1 was amended to adjust Board governance procedures and to add specific text about bylaw amendments and board rules and policies. Members will get to vote on the updated bylaw at the annual meeting in spring 2025.
2024-2025 Arrow Fine and Broken Equipment Value Schedules
Posted: 2024-04-24The Discipline committee met on April 20 and passed an Arrow Fine Schedule and Broken Equipment Value Schedule in effect for the fiscal year 1 May 2024 to 30 April 2025. Please note, cedar arrows now no longer carry a damage fine and the value of Oreo has been reduced by 50% given wear and damage.

2024 Annual Financial Statement
Posted: 2024-09-18The Board of Carleton Archery Club, Inc., has approved an updated financial statement for 2023-2024 on September 4th which adjusts some of the formatting, removes a $30 refund from the income statement, and includes a directed donation of $155 which was paid to incorporate CAC, Inc. in fall 2023. The overall financial position remains unchanged from the previous statement and it has been updated. It is available here.
Special Purpose Fund: Maintenance Fund
Updated: 2024-11-08On 20 January 2024, the Board created a restricted fund- which is a cash fund with a specific purpose that can only be used at the express direction of the Board- to save for future maintenance and equipment purchases. All equipment fees and arrow fines will be directed into this fund. Information about this fund will be included in the financial statements and notices of withdrawals and their purpose will be posted to the website once approved by the Board.
Terms
The purpose of this fund will be to save for future capital, range, and equipment expenses using funds paid by participants for that purpose. The Board may authorize spending from this fund for items including, but not limited to:

Range Improvements
Safety Equipment
Other equipment or improvements as directed by the Board
Withdrawals
There have been no withdrawls from the fund.
