Club Officials

Club officials include range safety officers, judges and coaches at our club. RSOs must be certified by Archery Canada to be permitted to act as range safety officers on the archery ranges we operate. Our coaches are trained under the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) for Archery and they lead and plan lessons. Judges must be certified by Archery Ontario (local and provincial) or Archery Canada (national).

Interested in becoming an RSO?

Are you interested in helping out at club events? We are always looking to grow our roster of club members willing to volunteer at club events as a Range Safety Officer (RSO), especially as the club expands its shooting times!

In order to act as an RSO on our range you are required to pass an online certification test about archery safety rules administered by Archery Canada and hold a valid technical membership with both Archery Canada (AC) and Archery Ontario (AO) (both can be purchased through Archery Ontario on 2M once you have passed the test). AC/AO technical memberships are currently $40 per year or are available as a free add-on if you already hold an athlete membership. For student club members who are willing to volunteer as an RSO from time to time, the club will make a $30 contribution to help with the costs of AC/AO membership. Once certified, members should let us know you are available to act as an RSO at club events.

Carleton Archery members, please email carletonarchery@gmail.com for more information on becoming an RSO!
